This knife sharpener exceeded my expectations in every way. Its efficiency is remarkable, restoring some of my aged (nostalgic) knives with extremely sharp precision, and with minimal effort. The quality of materials which were supplied is evident, ensuring durability for long-term use. The packaging was thoughtful and sturdy too. I do a lot of fishing and hunting, so having sharp tools on hand is important and this product will enable that. Overall, a fantastic product which I highly recommend! PS. I have a different sharpener I use around twice a year but it’s a pain to set up and tricky to use which results in me putting it off. I find it so much easier to cook in the kitchen with sharp knives and I wanted a SIMPLE and QUICK way to get my knives sharp. That’s when I came across this rolling knife sharpener. I love how easy it is to use. Ive used it on both my cheap kitchen knives and a set of gifted Japanese knives and it has given both types a razor sharp edge.The different grit sharpening discs provided are a nice touch and I like that they threw in the third disc as part of the package (something most other brands aren’t doing).I’m not a chef by any means but I can tell you that the convenience of this sharpener has made cooking so much more enjoyable and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants sharp knives but can’t be bothered with more difficult / time intensive processes like whetstones.

Do I need to do anything when I first recieve my board?
You can use your board straight out of the box. It arrives with a food-safe, water-based finish that protects it during transport and storage. Because of this, you may notice that water or oil beads on the surface instead of soaking in the first time you oil your board. This is completely normal.
Use your board as intended and begin applying food-safe mineral oil straight away & then monthly (or when the surface looks dry).
Over time, with regular use & washing the oil will penetrate more deeply, keeping the timber maintained long-term.
Standing your board upright for 24 hours after oiling helps the wood absorb evenly (wipe off excess oil with a cloth).
What's the best way to clean my board?
Hand wash only — never submerge your board in water or put it in the dishwasher. The safest method is to wipe down with a damp kitchen cloth or sponge. You may also use kitchen sanitiser or surface wipes (we encourage this for hygiene). Avoid placing the board directly under a running tap or applying excessive moisture. If this happens, dry immediately with a cloth to minimise water absorption.
How do I keep my board in peak condition?
Dry with a cloth immediately after washing.
Apply food-safe mineral oil once per month (or whenever the board looks dry or dull).
For extra protection, buff on a layer of beeswax or board conditioner after oiling — this shields against excess moisture.
Stand your board on its side (or on the drying stand) occasionally (once per week ideally) to allow even drying and prevent risk of warping.
How do I remove stains?
For common stains, sprinkle coarse salt or baking soda on the board and scrub gently with lemon juice. Wipe clean and re-oil if needed.
How do I get rid of knife marks?
The end-grain design of your board naturally helps reduce knife marks by allowing the blade to slide between the wood fibres instead of cutting directly against them.
Always use sharp knives to minimise gouges.
For light marks, simply oil and wax your board — this will often restore its appearance.
For deeper scratches, sand the surface lightly with fine-grit sandpaper, wipe clean, then re-oil to restore the board.
How should I protect my board from moisture and temperature changes?
Wood responds to its environment, so consistent conditions are key.
Moisture: Don’t leave your board on the sink drainer — timber absorbs water easily. Always dry upright after cleaning.
Temperature: Keep your board away from cooktops, heaters, or direct sunlight. Never place hot pans, trays, or dishes straight from the oven onto your board. Sudden heat shocks will damage the timber.
Environment: Expect your board to gently adapt to its new kitchen environment over the first few weeks — this is completely normal.
