Method 1: Adhesive (No-Drill) Installation

Best for:

• Renters
• Smooth surfaces such as tiles, stainless steel, glass, sealed stone, or painted drywall
  

Steps:

1. Prepare the wall:
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Remove any dust, oil, or residue with a mild cleaner and let it fully dry.

2. Attach the adhesive pads:
Peel off the protective film and stick the adhesive pads firmly to the back of the knife bar.

3. Mount to the wall:
Peel off the second protective layer. Press the knife bar firmly against the wall for 30–60 seconds, ensuring full contact.

4. Let the adhesive cure:
Leave the knife bar undisturbed for 24 hours before placing any knives on it. This ensures maximum bonding strength.

Method 2: Screw Installation

Best for:

• Heavy daily use
• Kitchens with textured, uneven or porous walls
• Anyone wanting a permanent, ultra-secure mount

Steps:

1. Choose the mounting height:
Hold the knife bar against the wall and mark your preferred position.

2. Drill the holes:
Using the included screws and wall plugs, drill at the marked points.

3. Mount the knife bar:
Insert the screws but leave a small gap for the knife bar to slide onto. Hang the bar securely onto the screws.

Adhesive Removal Steps:

1. Warm the adhesive:
Use a hairdryer on medium heat for 1–2 minutes to soften the adhesive behind the knife holder. Point at the edges of the holder to target the adhesive.

2. Cut the bond:
Slide dental floss or fishing line behind the knife bar and gently “saw” through the adhesive sliding the floss / line up and down and moving along the holder.

4. Final clean:
Use isopropyl alcohol and a plastic scraper to remove any residue or adhesive from the wall.

Does the adhesive work on a mirrored splash-back?
Yes - just apply the adhesive using the steps for method 1 under the 'How to Install' section above.

I'm renting - how do I get it off the tiles again?

Will the adhesive damage the tiles?
No - if you follow the steps under 'How to Remove' the tile should be fine. It's important not to pull the holder away from the wall, as this could cause damage. Make sure to heat the adhesive and cut the bond using dental floss or fishing line.
